Beach Report

Manly –This renowned stretch of beach is very popular for beginners learning to surf, families and tourists. Perfect for family days at the beach while you can enjoy lunch on the other side at Manly Corso. The surf is generally calmer than most beaches. The ocean walkway will take you further south to Shelley Beach while you can stop at cafes along the way.

Queenscliff – On the same stretch of sand as Manly Beach, about 1km north is Queenscliff. Attracting larger swells than Manly, this fantastic location is more for the intermediate – advanced surfers. It also offers a surf club and rockpool with transport right at the sand!

Freshwater – Another family beach, Freshwater is considered one of the safest beaches to swim and relax with the family. Kiddies corner in the North is a great place to learn to surf while the south end usually attracts a few of the more advanced surfers near its famous Cunjevoi rock. It features Showers, Rockpool, Public toilets, Playground, Viewing Platform, Picnic Area, Parking, Kiosk, Garbage Bin and Barbeque area.

Curl Curl – Known for attracting the bigger waves, Curl Curl holds several surf competitions throughout the year. Curl Curl beach provides a surf club, rockpool and kiosk at each end. Behind the dunes at North Curl Curl is the well known “Doggy Dunes”. This area is for unleashed dogs to play in the lagoon only 50ms away from the surf.

Dee Why – When the swells up and the conditions are right, you can count on Dee Why point to be pumping and crowded. Dee why beach has a kiddies corner in the south for beginners and much larger waves for the experienced about 100m north. Take advantage of the rockpool and numerous cafes, bars and restaurants looking right over the beach.
